Dec 26, 2011 BSC encourages digital inclusion in Dias D’Ávila

BSC launches another social project. This time, the action aims to encourage digital inclusion of neighboring communities through computer classes, which began in December and will finish in April 2012. The participants will be able to use the Windows operating system, word editor, spreadsheet Excel and internet as tools for learning and social development.

Classes are in a computer center, located in a central square of Dias D’Ávila, five times a week, during three shifts. The goal is to train 100 students residents neighboring the unity of BSC, at Industrial Polo os Camaçari, 15 to 40 years old, with family income between one and five minimum wages. Besides the activities in the classroom, those selected for the project will participate in events aimed at raising environmental awareness.

The operation of the project will be made by Educare Institute, an entity of private non-profit, cultural, which provides consulting and advisory services to companies and organizations representing the third sector in Salvador and São Paulo.
